This Man Knows How to Handle His Organ
# posted by Zillax0rz @ 6:46 PM
What up, nerds? I'm an old Internet friend of Chronodin and you can tell I'm nerd because I a.) have "x0rz" in my handle, b.) use proper grammar, and c.) I labeled myself as an "Internet friend." So anways, my first order of business is to post this video of a dude playing classical video game tunes on an organ. Enjoy!

NerdCentral 2.0 is online!
# posted by Chronodin @ 9:26 PM
Sound the trumpets! NerdCentral 2.0 is up and running!
You may or may not have seen my post from earlier today where I apologized for my lack of activity on NerdCentral. I really felt the site needed revitalized, and I think this is just the thing!
I'm currently using the Blogger engine. While I'm quite proud of the fact that v1.0 (that's easier to type than "the old NerdCentral", isn't it?) was done completely in HTML code, everything typed tirelessly, update after update, it's just a pain in the butt and unnecessarily tedious. So, that has since come to an end, and updating is now MUCH easier than before! Now, if I don't update, my only excuse is laziness. :)
That said and done, there is plenty I missed in that time I didn't update -- E3 was the biggest of those for you gamers out there, and plenty interesting stuff happened. I didn't get a chance to make any Wii jokes, but don't worry, I'm sure the opportunity will present itself to make one or ten. Not that they haven't already ALL been made.
As mentioned in the earlier post, I do have a supply of links ready to go for you! So, without furthur ado...

.:[ Links ]:.
- Anchor Head Darth Metal - Star Wars music + heavy metal = well, see for yourself.
- Tim Shafer interview - Tim Shafer has made some of the best adventure games in, well, adventure game history, such as Sam & Max Hit the Road and Grim Fandango. It's pretty interesting to hear some of the thoughts he has on making video games.
- Nintendo vs Sony - The Register (UK-based IT news site) takes a look at the Nintendo DS and Sony's Playstation Portable. Though the report is a couple months old, and Nintendo now has the DS Lite in its corner, the article still makes some good points regarding the battle.
- Gigantic Phone Bill - And you thought your phone bill was rediculous.
- Guitar Hero Hack - I'll admit it. I'm addicted to Guitar Hero. I've beaten it on expert and I'm currently trying to clear each of the regular songs with 5 stars. I've got about half of them done... the easy half, unfortunately. Anyway, this is really neat. Get the adapter, hook the guitar controller into your PC, and rock on!
- Mayor of Disneyla... er, New Orleans - Wow, lot of links from The Register today.
- First Female Robot - I'm... not sure how to react to this.
- Captain N coming to DVD! - This is a bit of an old link, I haven't heard any updates since then, but, c'mon! It's Captain N!!
- Laser cats! - I know lasers and cats are two of MY favorite things.
- One Red Paperclip - This guy is basically recreating the famous trading game from a lot of old RPGs - want this? Get that for me. Want that? Get this for someone else. Etc.
- E3 Drinking Game - Well, I should've posted this before E3, but it's still interesting to read, and to see how many were dead on. I'm not much for drinking games, myself, but still a good read.
- Toyota commercial - Wow.
- First evidence of Bosnia pyramid - This is kinda cool.
- First cybercafe - Starbucks eat your heart out.
- Text Image - I could just sit here for hours seeing what all my pictures look like as text.
- Real Life Super Mario Bros. - This might be the coolest thing I've ever seen.
- Color perception - Shows how much our perception of color depends on the colors around it.
- Jedi Breakfast - Some less than family-friendly language here, but pretty funny anyway.
- Castlevania Game Name Generator - Konami's secret is revealed! (I think my favorite so far is "Stanza of Kidney Stones")
